Sumavision Helped CMG Group Made an Innovative Live Streaming on The Great Migration in Masai Mara, Kenya

The Great Migration is one of the most splendid wildlife "travelling show" in the world. Each year in Masai Mara, millions of wildlife travel from the southern Serengeti to Masai Mara which creates one of the most attractive wonders in the world.

This August, the CMG group made a live streaming plan for this great natural phenomenon to enable more people from different places to watch this safari must-see. Sumavision portable live production solution was chosen by the CMG group to enable them produce this great event from remote areas. Seven Sumavision portable encoders SP03 were used to produce the live event in Masai Mara National Reserve. By using our bonding system, 5G and 4G networks are combined to build a stable transmission from the camera to CMG African Station. Director in the African station used Sumavision remote production system to manage the units remotely and connect with the cameraman using IFB system. Furthermore, Sumavision SP03 provides a easy switching function to help the CMG group do real-time switching between cameras. All the signals were transmited to the CMG headquarters for post-production and publish to multiple streaming platform, such as YouTube, Tiktok, Facebook, Bilibili, etc. enabling the broadcaster to reach to more than 53 million audiences.
