JM-DATA is an Austrian telecommunication company that cooperates closely with Sumavision to provide professional broadband solutions for European operators. Over the past decade, JM-DATA has provided DOCSIS solutions for their domestic customers and also other types of internet access solutions for customers around Europe.
JM-DATA chose Sumavision as a core partner and selected our RMD devices to help operators improve their broadband service over cable network. Sumavision's RMD devices support a network topology called distributed access architecture (DAA) which split the traditional fiber nodes into smaller nodes and therefore increase the individual bandwidth and diminish upstream noise. Moreover, JM-DATA also used Sumavision's RMD devices as optical receiver and edge modulator so that DVB signals can be modulated in fiber nodes. This strategy helps JM-DATA and their customers save space in hub and extremely decrease investment in maintenance and operating, and therefore operators can generate more profit from their broadband service.
