Marriott Hotels & Resorts (Marriott) is a global hotels and resorts operator that headquartered in USA. Providing customers with complimentary in-room broadband services is important for Marriott because of the increasing need of travelers to use social media and access other internet services.
Marriott chose Sumavision’s indoor Remote MACPHY devices (RMD) and evolved to distributed access architecture (DAA) to improve their in-room internet service quality. Thanks to our indoor RMD devices, Marriott was able to increase their in-room bandwidth to more than 100Mbps for a single suite. Moreover, reusing the existing cable network prevented Marriott from extra investment in network transformation, and removing amplifiers, headend devices and using our smart RMD Controller (RC9000) helped Marriott reduce a large amount of cost in electricity and labor by nearly 50%.
